Delegate Nancy Guthrie, 30th District

I believe that progressive values are traditional American values, and I have worked hard to provide strong, effective, leadership that puts those values into action for the future of our West Virginia .  I believe in the power of individuals like you to move us forward in the direction of our highest ideals.  That is the heart and soul of my reasons for wanting to represent the 30th District.  When you join our growing army of grassroots citizens, every neighbor you talk to, every email you send me, every phone call you make to me to better your community is another step forward. I hope to make this website a useful part of that effort.

Together, we must continue to address the issues affecting the 30 th District through policies informed by the moral imperatives of our progressive values.  This includes making housing more affordable, your community more livable and attractive to growth and investment, raising our standard of living by raising wages above the national average, strengthening public education, lowering the cost of health care, protecting our environment, standing up for the rights of all West Virginians, fighting for Kanawha County, and making government more transparent, open and responsive.  I hope you will take some time to read my complete Progressive Agenda for the Future and then add your email address to our mailing list here so you will be among the first to have any new information.

At the dawn of our Nation, great Americans like Thomas Jefferson and George Washington expressed a profound vision of freedom, justice, and equality that was a world apart from the reality of the day.  I believe that each generation has moved us a little closer to realizing the vision of our forefathers. So I ask you join me in public service by adding your interest, your energy and your commitment to the men and women of our time. Together we can move mountains and move forward in the direction of positive ideals for the same strong values and strong communities that brought me and many other families and businesses to West Virginia.
