People in the 30 th District of Kanawha County are just too special for words so we've included some photos because one picture is worth a thousand words. From special events, charities to community service, this will be our gallery space to highlight what's near and dear to the hearts of people in the 30 th District.

	December 13, 2007 - This last December an important summit was held to discuss improving and accessing services people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) in West Virginia. Growing numbers of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans are returning home with post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury or both.
	September 3, 2007 - Labor Day wouldn't be Labor Day without a stop at the UMWA celebration in Racine. Nancy joins hundreds of other workers who help fuel the economy. A day to honor and celebrate the family value we place on our strong work ethic.
	September 3, 2007 - Marmet is one of the premier places to celebrate Labor Day. Nancy joins hundreds of other people who turned out for the parade and festival.
	August 7, 2007 - Nancy joins with Attorney General and members of the Charleston Black Ministerial Alliance in a $10,000 check presentation ceremony at the Roosevelt Neighborhood Center in Charleston to help fund the Jabez Project for youth resisting substance abuse.
	August 3, 2007 - Nancy joins 150 people to celebrate the 27th Anniversary luncheon at the Hansford Senior Center in St. Albans - one of the most successful Senior Centers in Kanawha County.
	KVSS Annual Picnic - Each hear hundreds of Senior Citizens gather for an ‘old fashioned' picnic in the park – Shawnee Park near Dunbar. 	Family Health Care Center Expands - It didn't take long to outgrow space at the Schoenbaum Family Enrichment Center on the West Side. They've expanded to new space at Patrick Street. 	WV Alzheimer's Association Annual ‘Thanks for the Memories' Luncheon - The Alzheimer's Association, West Virginia Chapter is committed to more than 48,000 families in our Chapter service area living with this disease. 	Saving the Stamping Plant It's a $35 million investment and good news for South Charleston . Businessmen Ray Park and John Wise got together to retool the plant for the 21st Century and hope to employ over 500 people by January 2008.
	Eagles and Bears, Oh My Last winter this eagle – calling himself ‘Spirit' flew to the Capitol. We suspect he's the son of Stephen Colbert and flying on the Lamb. We fed him, sheltered him, taught him all the words to Deliverance, and started working with him to overcome his many fears – namely BEARS. Now he won't leave and Colbert hasn't mentioned his estranged son lately – Stephen Junior. He's awfully handsome though, don't you think? We may just keep him.
