Recent Events

December 13, 2007 - This last December an important summit was held to discuss improving and accessing services people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) in West Virginia. Growing numbers of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans are returning home with post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury or both.

  

September 03, 2007 - Labor Day wouldn't be Labor Day without a stop at the UMWA celebration in Racine. Nancy joins hundreds of other workers who help fuel the economy. A day to honor and celebrate the family value we place on our strong work ethic.

  

September 03, 2007 - Marmet is one of the premier places to celebrate Labor Day. Nancy joins hundreds of other people who turned out for the parade and festival.

  

August 07, 2007 - Sunrise Mansion was the hot place to be for the annual Girl's Night Out. The event, with a “Summer of Love” theme, raised money for the Charleston YWCA's Resolve Family Abuse Program. August 07, 2007 - Nancy joins with Attorney General and members of the Charleston Black Ministerial Alliance in a $10,000 check presentation ceremony at the Roosevelt Neighborhood Center in Charleston to help fund the Jabez Project for youth resisting substance abuse.

  

August 03, 2007 - Nancy joins 150 people to celebrate the 27th Anniversary luncheon at the Hansford Senior Center in St. Albans - one of the most successful Senior Centers in Kanawha County.

  

July 27, 2007 - Hillary Clinton made a campaign swing through West Virginia where she laid out her vision for America and took unscripted questions from a packed audience. Shopping for a Democrat will be a tough choice but one Democratic will emerge as the best hope to restore our nation's balance.
