We're worried about the brain drain that's happening in West Virginia. Young people are leaving at record rates. This corner of the website will be used to recruit the best ideas from budding young genius' on modeling our professional and personal landscape so that you're willing to plant your flag right here in the Mountain State. Your idea should be constructive, innovative, create jobs and improve your community. If you have a Junior Genius moment or idea to share, we're all ears.

Thank you East Bank Middle School students and Ms. Devine for taking time to engage in a public policy discussion regarding the WV Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Control Act contained in SB135 and HB 2773. These bills are before the legislature for consideration.

The legislation speaks directly to the environment that we will leave your generation. As such, you are primary stakeholders to me. My hat is off to you for sharing your positions about passing a Bottle Bill. You are my Junior Genius Award Winners for the week. Here is just a sampling of what you wrote.
